Stella Create & Take

Here are the Create & Take cards I taught at LeaderShare. The designs were created by the CTMH Corporate Art Department.

We received 2 stamp sets for our registration fee for LeaderShare, and used them on these cards...The Best Things and 4 My Friend.   The Evergreen Cork Shapes are great for embellishments...we used them here on the cards, and on our layouts too.

LeaderShare & Studio J

I realize you may not have even noticed I was away last week, with the exception of no postings. Sorry! I had lots of new artwork to post, but I had to keep it all secret...until after the big event. I left for Omaha, NE last Tuesday to do the final preparations for LeaderShare, a corporate event for CTMH consultants. The event took place in Omaha on Friday and Saturday and was a HUGE success...and seems that everyone who participated had tons of fun. The feedback we've received has been very rewarding. Shari and I were completely exhausted after the 2-day event and months of planning...but we're thrilled we have had such positive feedback, and pulled it off without a hitch.

Each of us taught two creative classes...Shari taught a 12 page workshop using Footloose, which I will be offering as workshop in May, and a 2-page Pemberley layout too. I taught a 10-card workshop with a card box (which will also be a upcoming workshop!), and another 4 card workshop using the die-cut cards and Stella papers. I promise to post artwork pictures very soon!

We also had an opportunity to create 5 amazing layouts on Studio J in preparation for a Studio J business class during LeaderShare. We had very specific instructions to follow, showing lots of techniques you can do digitally to enhance your layouts. If you haven't at least tried Studio J yet...I strongly encourage you to do so. Give Studio J a try (click on Products, then Studio J Online Scrapbooking), it's free...you only pay when you purchase your layouts, what do you have to lose?

A Journey

Today brings us to the last card in our ShoeBox swap. You may have noticed throughout this week, that our catalog is a wonderful resource for ideas too! Even as consultants, we use the artwork in our catalog as inspiration for workshops, swaps, and more. And in ALL cases, when you re-create the artwork showcased in the catalog...you notice the pictures are nice, but the artwork in real life is amazing!
Today's card is by Vicki Price:

This card uses another one of our A-size stamp sets, this one is A Journey, found on page 84. The color combination on this card is from the Victory papers: Barn Red, Outdoor Denim, New England Ivy, and a splash of Creme Brulee. Which brings to my attention, this card uses B&T papers from 2 different paper packs too (Footloose and Victory).

I hope by sharing all these pieces of artwork, it will inspire you to work outside the box, and combine paper packs you may not think would coordinate...try it for yourself, and see the versatility of ALL the paper packs.

My card was posted on my blog earlier...you can find it here.

In case you missed any of the cards, here they are together:

I hope you enjoyed the artwork on this journey...and Happy St. Patricks Day too!

Quick Card - Butterfly

I've been sharing a card a day from our ShoeBox Swap, a group swap using new papers and new stamp sets from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.
This card uses our Quick Card-Butterfly single stamp found on page 70. I've seen so many beautiful cards using these Quick Card stamps...it's another one added to my wish list! The card was inspired by another card in the catalog from page 74.
Today's card is by Kimberly Deines:

I hadn't used the Velvet Rub-Ons (available in dark chocolate and black) yet, so these were somewhat intimidating...but WOW! The velvet rub-ons are just the bit of elegance this card needs! The background stamp is from Diverse Backgrounds stamp set...these background stamps are perfect for creating your own patterned & textured papers! Just so versatile!

Card Word Puzzle

Everyday this week, I'm sharing one card from our group swap using new papers and new stamp sets from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.
Today's card is Jodi Frank's, inspired by the one on page 23:

The card base was cut out using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge, and the stamp images are from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set. The color combination comes from the Pemberley papers in colors of Desert Sand, Outdoor Denim, and Honey. The soft, muted affect on the butterfly and flower is created by using the Waterbrush.

This card was CASE'd by Randa Wacaster:
The color combination used is Bamboo, Olive, Chocolate, and Outdoor Denim. The sentiment is from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set.

"A Tree" card

Each day this week I'm sharing one of the wonderful cards we created using new papers and new stamp sets from the Spring/Summer Idea Book.
Today's standard size card is designed by LeAnne Dudley:

I love the simplicity. It's so clean, fresh and spring-like! This card uses the A Tree stamp set...it's one of the many A-size ($6.95) stamp sets! Now, I need to add this one to my wish list. LeAnne's card uses Sweet Leaf B&T papers from two different paper packs (Footloose and Lucy). Notice the bitty sparkles in the tree. The canopy of the tree is cut out and popped up using 3-d foam tape. The color combination here is Sweet Leaf, Blush and Chocolate.

New Spring/Summer Artwork

This entire week, I'll be showcasing cards we created for our ShoeBox Swap during last weeks team training. What's a shoebox swap, you ask? Each time a new catalog is released, our group does a swap using new papers and a new stamp set. Each of us creates one card, and supplies all the papers and embellishments for everyone participating to re-create the card. All these products are put into a Shoebox (portable tote of some sort) so it can be passed around the group...that's where it gets its name. It's a great way to have all sorts of new artwork to show off...and you only had to come up with one idea!
So here's today's 3-1/2" x 8" card - designed by Anne-Marie Pitcock.

This card uses the New Arrival stamp set, found on page 87 in the Spring/Summer Idea Book. I also like the way she used B&T papers from 2 different paper packs (Florentine and Stella). The color combo here is Chocolate, Twilight and Tulip.
