JULY 2017 Classes, Specials and More!

Hello Friends!
I survived Convention...what a week it was!  So many of you saw me in photos posted from CTMH Home Office Facebook page, the week was amazing.  Connecting with so many consultant friends, listening to stories of resilience, celebrating recognitions, unveiling of new products, photo scavenger hunts, touring the CTMH Headquarters and so much more!  I can't wait until they post the Convention Highlights video, me and my team were included in it also - I will be sure to share that with you too!  There is a TON of new information to share with you, you'll just have to wait for the unveiling at the Catalog Celebration...until then, my lips are sealed! :o)

Have you heard the excitement for July???  STAMPAGANZA is back...for one month only!  Stampaganza is always a HUGE month for stamp set purchases...BUY TWO, GET ONE FREE!!!  Buy ANY two My Acrylic stamp sets at full retail price and get a third stamp set of equal or lesser value FREE!  Choose from ANY stamp set in the current idea books (Annual Inspirations and Seasonal Expressions 2), PLUS a collection of popular stamp sets that we brought back just for Stampaganza!  I have listed the returning stamp sets under the Monthly SPECIALS tab here on my blog - be sure to check them out!  When you make your stamp set purchases in increments of pairs, Im happy to help you get the biggest bang for your buck!  It works best if you purchase 2 of the same stamp set size (A,B,C,D,E,M) and have the same size for your free set.  The lesser value of the stamp sets will always be your free sets.

I promised my July Newsletter earlier this week, but Ken had something else on his agenda.  While I was away in SLC, he planned to start painting the exterior of our house.  He borrowed scaffolding from a neighbor, and assembled it around the house.  He agreed to paint only areas he could reach on the ground while I was gone.  Since I've been home, I've been having to "spot" him (not that I could catch him if he fell, but could call 911 in a jiffy).  Here's a picture of him on the scaffolding on top of a ladder!  Yikes!  In my younger years, I loved playing on the jungle gyms, but Ken makes me look like Tinkerbell as he jumps from bar to bar!  He's got a new nickname...Monkey Man! LOL  So, thank you for your patience as I am only able to get portions of the newsletter done at a time, when Ken is on the ground or taking a much deserved break.

Feel free to share this blog post with your friends who LOVE to stamp, scrapbook and paper-craft.  I always appreciate your referrals...and I love to reward YOU too!  I sincerely thank you for your continued friendship and support...I truly appreciate YOU!

Helping you preserve the memories that matter most~
Julie

Saturday YouTube Video: CTMH Convention 2013 Highlights

Want to see what all the excitement is about when I attend the CTMH Convention?

Here we are in Orlando, FL at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort:
See if you can spot me...I'm in there twice!  It's quick...

Does it look like something you would like to share with me?  Join my team!!!
I am already registered to attend Convention 2014 at the DisneyLand Hotel in Anaheim, California.  I've been to 13 Conventions, and the one at DisneyLAND several years ago, was the BEST...
perfect wether, variety of restaurants, walking distance to the parks!  Fun, Fun, FUN!!!
I can't wait to go back!

I also want to show you the layouts we created during our Creative Sessions.
These papers were exclusive to Convention attendees.
We also received an exclusive stamp set to preserve our memories shared in Orlando.
I have pictures for my layouts coming soon!

Each year, during Convention, the corporate staff hides our company mascot, StickyBoy (I will have to post Sticky Boy's video too).  I have found only 3 StickyBoy's in 13 years.  In Orlando, I found this tiny little guy hanging out on a metal door frame in the Art Gallery room.
I love that he is decked out in his sombrero, and maraca's.  VIVA!!!

To learn more about the testing that went into the My Acrylix stamps before we made the switch from wood & rubber nearly a decade ago...watch Sticky Boy's video.
I love the sense of humor our corporate staff has!

It's CONVENTION TIME!!!

WooHoo!!! Today, I'm sharing the Convention gifts I made for my team and adoptees who are attending Convention with me.  Since we are in Orlando, and plan to enjoy Disney World while we are here, I knew I had to have a Minnie Mouse theme to my gifts!

My Minnie Gift Bags

These gifts were so easy to make...that is if you have the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  Want to know how to make them...here are the measurements!
Gift Bag = Artiste, pg.32, 3-D object, cut at 4-1/2"
Bow = Artiste, pg.55, Accent 3, cut at 1-1/4"
Ears = Artiste, pg.48, Card, cut at 3" (cut 2 for her ears)
That's basically the "body" of the Gift Bag...then you can embellish to your desire!

I embellished using a strip of Cranberry cardstock that I scalloped using our Corner Rounder, also included some Slate Washi Tape.  I added some Shimmer Trim just below the Cranberry cardstock, I also used our Glitter Paper to add some "bling" in a scalloped circle behind the monogram stamp.  I added a monogram to each persons gift bag...monograms are a great way to personalize any gift! Each monogram is sold separately for only $2.95 each!  I'm collecting them all.
Inside are fun size m&ms...one for each day of Convention.  A girls gotta have some chocolate!
Hope they enjoy these little gifts!

Stars Shine Bright

The theme of our Convention was "Stars Shine Bright", so this layout's title fits the occasion. One last layout to share, from our Create & Take classes during Convention:
Using the NEW Clementine papers (the opposite side of the same piece from in the previous post).  The NEW Cashmere Cardstock as the base pages, the same exclusive Convention stamp set, the NEW Harvest Assortment Bakers Twine, and the NEW Antiqued Gold Mini Medley accent collection...just love all the flourishes, clips, and buttons!
PS.  Photos on layouts COMING SOON! LOL

Boot Stompin' Fun

Here's another layout we created at Convention:

Using the NEW Clementine papers,  NEW Champagne cardstock and the NEW Noted Canvas Shapes and NEW Just Blooms Floret Paper Shapes. The stamp set was exclusive to those who attended Convention...I love it!  I can't wait to get pictures on these pages...I just haven't gotten that far yet.

Convention...Here I Come!

I always like to bring a little something special for my team members who attend Convention with me.  This year, I made each of them a Mini-Album to capture their Convention memories...some may use them to jot down ideas, journal the upcoming days excitement, or even place pictures on the blank pages...the choice is their own!
I custom made these Mini Albums using the Colonial White Die-Cut Cards & Envelopes.  I used the Dotty For You papers from May...the colors matched our Convention colors perfectly!  The album measures 3-3/4" x 8".  I have "the Cinch" binding machine, and used it to bind the albums.

Yes, it looks like our My Creations Bookmark Album, and even similar in size, but I didn't want my album to be made of chipboard, besides, I wanted more pages too!

Believe it or not, this is a Julie original!  I was inspired by the cute mini-albums that are available in the retail stores, and I thought..."how can I make one of these using CTMH paper products?"  Here it is!

Our Convention theme is "Stars Shine Bright",
which is appropriate since we're going to be in Dallas, Texas!
These pictures show close-ups of the cover.  The ribbon on the binding is our
Color Ready Seam Binding ribbon, dyed to match my color scheme perfectly!
And of course, I had to bling it up with Sparkles!
I will show you the insides, and I kept things very simple for a couple of reasons.  I want my team members to embellishment them to their liking, I was making multiples of this mini-album, and I wanted to make sure the book didn't get too bulky.

 Pages 1-2

Page 1 has a pocket (used the envelope), so I made a tag you can pull out of the pocket.
Pages 3-4 are the inside of the Die-Cut card
 Pages 5-6
Page 6 is another pocket, using the envelope
 Pages 7-8
 Pages 9-10
 Pages 11-12
 Pages 13-14
 Pages 15-16
Page 16 showing the pocket again

I love this idea...so there's a good chance this could be a workshop in the future!
